His Mirax Group is the largest real estate developer in Moscow that didn't get its start in the country's capital. Builds housing apartment complexes, business centers and high-rises (for example, the 1,300-foot Moscow City tower). Was preparing for a public listing but canceled it at the end of 2007 because of the crisis in financial markets. An extreme-sports lover, had once hoped to fly to the International Space Station but was rejected because of his height (at 6 feet 4 inches, he is too tall).
