Senate Dems Propose 5% Plutocrat Surtax
Senate Democrats led by Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, and Chuck Shumer are sticking it to the Tea Party. They have courageously proposed a 5% surtax on millionaires to cover the cost of President Obama's Jobs package.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) unveiled their counter-proposal to the White House’s plan at a Capitol news conference Wednesday morning.
The "job creators" aren't creating jobs. They are hoarding wealth. A 5% surtax is a start, but it isn't enough.
