Based on tax disclosures filed by congressional lawmakers in 2010, the Center for Responsive Politics has compiled a revealing list of the net worth of the wealthiest and poorest members of congress.
Richest member of congress in 2010:
- Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) with an average net worth of $448,125,017.00
Poorest member of congress in 2010:
- Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) with an average net worth of -$4,732,002.00
