Jackson Hole Ranch Tops List of Most Expensive Real Estate

The Jackson Land & Cattle ranch located in Jackson, Wyoming recently went on the market for $175 million vaulting it into the number one spot as the most expensive parcel of real estate in the country.

[excerpt] $175 million compound encompasses more than 1,750 acres of rolling, green land just outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in Teton County. The expansive ranch hosts cattle and horses. Aspen, evergreen and timber trees stud the hills interspersed with large hay meadows. There are three fishing ponds, a spring creek and over 800 acres of irrigated meadows. The Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains rise up in the distance.

The ranch is being sold as potential subdivision property.

It goes without saying that we believe that developers comprise one of the most despicable groups of opportunistc people ever to inhabit the earth. Our gripe is that we love Jackson and we hate to see it sell off parcel by parcel to the highest bidder. One of the country's most magical places will become nothing more than a second or third home for the wealthy.

Goodbye old friend.
