GA Pastor RICO Indicted For Racketeering and Fraud

A 74 year old Cobb County, GA minister who called himself pastor "Rico" has been indicted for racketeering and fraud for preying on victims who were about to lose their homes.

According to Channel 2 Action News, Pastor Michael "RICO" Surgent has done time in federal prison before on similar charges. One has to question how such a man was able to even become an ordained minister, but we aren't going to get into a discussion about the supreme gullibility of the average believer.

RICO apparently had a home loan modification business on the side,Trinity Corporation, that relied on prayer and quoted scripture to determine the financials for clients in his flock. His "christian strength" bilked his customers of hundreds of thousands of dollars that was supposed to be used to pay off debt.

With any luck, this charlatan will meet the god he claimed to be serving in prison.
