Former Rep. Sen. Judd Gregg Hired By Goldman Sachs

Former Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, who retired this January, has been hired as an international adviser to Goldman Sachs.

[excerpt] During his tenure in the Senate, Gregg served as ranking member of the budget committee and occupied a seat on the banking committee that oversaw institutions like Goldman Sachs. He voted against the financial regulatory overhaul of 2010.

A sleazy conflict of interest if there ever was one.

Former members of congress should not be allowed to work in any capacity for any corporation or private business with ties to the government or congressional committees for a minimum of ten years after they retire from congress.
