Derek Jeter Selling Trump Tower Condo for 60% Profit

The housing market has crashed for everyone but the uber-rich it seems. All across the country ordinary people have watched their home investments lose value, but a pro athlete can expect to reap a windfall from the sale of a luxury condo.

Jeter has listed his 5,425-square-foot 88th floor condominium at Trump World Tower, near the United Nations, for $20 million which is a 60% increase in value. If only inflation worked this way for the rest of us.

Jeter purchased the condo in 2001 for $12.6 million.

With his contract up at the end of this season and rumors of a November wedding to fiance Minka Kelly, the Yankees superstar has put his Trump World Tower apartment on the market for $20 million.

According to the Trump Tower listing, the apartment has 4 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, chef's eat-in kitchen, dining room, media/den and living room, with a fireplace and clear views of the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Central Park, and the Atlantic Ocean.
