Colombian Billionaire’s Son Sued For $100 Million In Hit And Run

The New York-based son of a Colombian billionaire is being sued for a whopping $100 million for a hit-and-run – and the victim of the accident is still alive and kicking.

[excerpt] Andres Santo Domingo, son of Colombian beer billionaire Julio Mario Santo Domingo, is the subject of the hit and run suit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Andres Santo Domingo is married to Vogue contributing editor Lauren Davis and is frequently featured in the society pages. His father, Julio Mario Santo Domingo, is ranked by Forbes as the world’s 108th richest person with a net worth of $8.4 billion – much of which came from the sale of his brewer Bavaria to SABMiller in 2005.

The victim is a 28-year-old who claims his foot was run over by the defendant's Mercedes while he was crossing 34th and 3rd in Manhattan earlier this spring. We can't speak to the veracity of this incident, but we are relatively certain nothing will come of it. Billionaires tend to have very good lawyers.
