Blagojevich Gets 14 years for Corruption

After a three-year court battle, former Democratic governor of Illinois, Rod Blogojevich was handed a 14 years prison sentence for 18 convictions resulting from his efforts to sell a vacant Senate seat.

[AP] Rod Blagojevich, the ousted Illinois governor whose three-year battle against criminal charges became a national spectacle, was sentenced to 14 years in prison Wednesday, one of the stiffest penalties imposed for corruption in a state with a history of crooked politics.
