Abstinence foundation paid Bristol Palin $262K to sell clothes

Tax documents reveal that an anti-teen pregnancy foundation founded in 2001 paid Bristol Palin seven times what it spent on actual teen pregnancy prevention programs.

"If I can prevent even one girl from getting pregnant, I will feel a sense of accomplishment," the 20-year-old daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told the Associated Press in 2009. Whatever.

Why would a foundation dedicated to preventing teen pregnancy pay huge money to a celebrity to be their teen ambassador?

The Candie's Foundation is a division of the clothing brand Candie's.

Candie's is clearly more interested in selling clothing to teens than they are about keeping teens chaste. The foundation and their teen celebrity ambassadors are nothing more than a sleazy marketing ploy and tax deduction.
