A $13 Million Cat Named Tommaso

An obscenely wealthy widow of an Italian property tycoon has bequeathed her entire $13 million fortune and portfolio of properties to her pet cat Tommaso. A stray that she had rescued from the streets of Rome.

If Maria Assunta really cared about animals, particularly given that she couldn't find any suitable organization to take care of Tommaso, she should have left the money to a trust to create an organization that would care for animals who had lost their owners.

But rich people just aren't that creative nor committed to their causes.
