100K for Suri’s Big Day

There's nothing quite like wasting more money than most americans earn in an entire year to make it clear to the rest of us that the economic meltdown isn't an issue for the elite.

Never mind that Suri Cruise isn't old enough to really remember a thing about her two-year bash. Never mind that spending 100 thousand dollars on ANYONE's birthday is a collosal waste of money. Never mind that most americans are struggling to survive in an economy that is showing no signs of improvement.

Really Tom, is it possible that you could be more oblivious to the plight of those less fortunate than you?  You who lucked into the pretty gene pool and got "discovered" for your less-than-spectacular talent.

So what does a two-year old require to enjoy a birthday party that costs 100 grand?

• $17,000 on fresh flowers
• $5,000 on  cakes
• $230 on cupcakes

We are assuming the remaining $77,000.00 was spent on a spacecraft of some kind.

The theme of the party was butterflies because Suri loves them. A source said: “Suri adores butterflies. It was immediate family and their closest friends only. There were no celebrities invited to the daytime bash.”

There were 24 people in attendance at the party including family and friends.

24 people. That's $4,167.00 a head.

Maybe, this is just a suggestion ... but, maybe, Mr. Cruise would have been better off spending that money learning how to affect a believable German accent.
